Committees

Committees fulfill an integral role to help ensure the goals and operational objectives defined by the Board of Directors are effectively achieved.  Committees are composed of residents who volunteer their time and services in support of the community. 

General Responsibilities of the committees are:

  • Elect a committee chairperson (may or may not be the Director that is responsible for the Committee)
  • Communicate with Board Member Liaison
  • Identify areas of opportunity or improvement for the respective committee
  • Prioritize projects or issues to address for the respective committee
  • Manage the resources to accomplish projects or objectives;  Identify the work project functions that can be performed with volunteer resident skills and talents
  • Assist with budget planning and preparation if requested by Board Member Liaison
  • Establish a volunteer base to call on to assist with work projects or special situations

Architectural Control
 

  Creekwood is a Planned Urban Development (PUD) community and is therefore subject to the requirements of the Creekwood Owners Association as defined in the Declaration of Restrictions. It is the role of the Architectural Control Director and Architectural Control Committee to ensure the exterior house and property meet acceptable standards to help the neighborhood as a whole present a visually pleasing image and protect/increase property value.

A defined process exists for Residents planning to: remove trees, paint the house, add sheds, build a deck or addition, etc. Residents are required to initiate and submit an Application for Residential Improvement Form for review and approval by the ACC Director prior to any work performed.

Building & Grounds

 

 

The Building & Grounds Committee is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and improvement of the community owned facilities and common grounds.  This includes but is not limited to:

  • The entrances at Round Hill Drive and Litchfield Drive
  • The Pavilion
  • Tennis Courts & Volleyball Courts
  • Children’s Playground
  • Sports Field
  • Parking Lot and adjoining grounds

The Board Member Director for Building & Grounds is accountable for the oversight and administration of the grounds maintenance contract with the respective vendor.  The Building & Grounds Committee plays a key support role in establishing the scope of work and pre-selection assessment of prospective vendors.  Additionally, the Building & Grounds Committee provides input to the Director for the status of the overall appearance, upkeep and needs of the facilities and property.

Chesterfield Community Safety

Neighborhood Watch Report

Goal
The goal of the Neighborhood Watch Program is to foster a culture of involved and concerned citizens willing to take positive action to address Security and Safety Matters.

Approach
There is a 3-pronged approach:

  • Watch Patrol
  • Security Advisory Council
  • Good Citizen Network

Good Citizen Network
This is a longer range goal to be achieved.  It is the responsibility of each resident to help make the community a safe and enjoyable place to live.  The Neighborhod Watch Program builds on this premise of Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

  • Residents are the “Eyes and Ears” of the community
  • Residents observe situations through the course of their normal activity and report any Suspicious Situations to Chesterfield Non Emergency (745-1251) and/or the Neighborhood Watch Coordinator (318-8699)
  • Establish Area Captain and Networking Groups
  • Tips and messaging awareness to residents


Pool
The Board Director for the Pool is accountable for the upkeep and operation of the pool.  However, the members of the Pool Committee are key to the overall effectiveness given the breadth of all the elements required to maintain an attractive facility and smooth running operation.  The scope of responsibility includes:

  • Selection of and contract administration with the Pool Management company
    • Define expectations and requirements
    • Ensure process to assess performance against requirements
    • Establish communication process for ongoing feedback and addressing issues
  • Establish Pool Rules
    • Set Pool hours
    • Establish Sign-in Policy and Procedure
    • Set Guest Fees and define criteria
    • Ensure a safe environment
  • Maintain/Enhance Facility and Equipment
    • Ensure the pool is and surrounding grounds are properly maintained and visually attractive
    • Ensure pump room and supporting equipment is clean and operational
    • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is performed

The Board Director for the Pool is also the liaison with the Swim Team Committee

 



Social
The Board Member Director for the Social Committee is responsible for the creation, planning, promotion, and running of various social related events that the Creekwood residents can participate in and enjoy.  Events can be celebrations of holidays or planned themes for the  family, children, and/or adults.  Input from residents helps with providing fresh ideas and programs.

Events are announced in the News and Announcement tab and on the Calendar.  Check these for planned activities and events.



Safety & Security

The Board Member Director for Security is responsible for assessing the overall safety and security of the Creekwood community. In the current structure, the Director coordinates the patrol conducted by off duty, uniformed Chesterfield Sheriff Deputies. Patrol hours are assigned in weekly blocks based on the month and trends of incidents encountered. The Director coordinates with the County Police and Sheriff for investigating incidents and dealing with individuals under suspicion or known violators.



Welcome Wagon

The Welcome Wagon Committee’s primary purpose is to make new residents feel a part of the Creekwood community.  A Gift Bag is delivered to the new resident.  The gift bag includes the Directory, Creekwood Bumper Stickers and a variety of other goodies.  Receptions are held quarterly or semi-annually depending on the number of new residents.  Welcome to All!
