Mission Statement

The Creekwood Board of Directors is responsible for the overall direction and management of all matters that deal with the community as elected officials of the Creekwood Owners Association. Overall responsibility encompasses four broad areas:

  • Security
  • Architectural Compliance
  • Facilities Upkeep and Management
  • Fiduciary Responsibly

Additionally, the Board must effectively communicate to the resident base on the status of objectives, projects and/or issues relating to community responsibilities.

Scope

To accomplish its’ overall mission, the Board is accountable to:

  • Establish longer range goals that set the direction and expectations on the behalf of the community
  • Ensure that the matters within the community are consistent with the spirit and intent of the By Laws
  • Ensure the appropriate processes and checks-in-balances are in place for sound financial decisions and spending
  • Establish various communication methods to consistently and effectively inform residents of ongoing status and matters of importance

Operational Responsibilities of the Board

  • Establish policy on items that require clarity of purpose.
  • Be accessible to the residents to hear and address concerns, comments, or recommendations.
  • Organize Committees as per accountable functional responsibility or project need.
  • Collectively approve annual budgets and contracts.
  • Review financial records for conformance and trends. Reallocate budget spending as deemed appropriate..
  • Collectively address matters brought forward by a Committee that could not be resolved at the Committee level.
  • Collectively approve new scope or change in scope projects, activities and/or rules a respective Committees submits/recommends.
